I design websites, but I'm not just another geek.

In fact, I was once just like you: I worked in communications, and I had communications goals. As a means of accomplishing my communications goals, I wrote articles and blurbs and fact sheets and posted them on my organization's website.

Later, when it became clear that the design of the website was not perfectly suited for the work I was doing, I changed the design to better support my work.

In other words, my communications work led me to become a website editor, and then, a little later, a designer.

Because I learned web design in the context of a career in communications, I know how to build websites that support your work in the best way possible, that are easy to use, easy and inexpensive to maintain, and built on flexible, dependable technologies most likely to stand the test of time.

I believe strongly that a website can make an organization better, can dramatically change how other people view and interact with you and your staff, and can even help you notice things about your organization and your audiences that you otherwise might not have.
