Background:
Green-e is the nation's leading independent renewable energy certification and verification program. Green-e is administered by the Center for Resource Solutions (CRS).

Project Summary:
CRS contracted me to build a web application to manage and promote the Green-e program. The new system allows CRS staff to track all certification and verification processes that make up the program. Renewable energy companies can log in to view account information, view contact information for the manager assigned to their account, check on their certification status and download forms and documents that match their status and geographic location.

The system also provides a public interface for searching the database of Green-e Certified Products. Homeowners and businesses can find renewable energy products meeting specific criteria such as energy source (solar, wind, geothermal, etc) and generation location. Search results link to profiles of the renewable energy providers, including a list of their other products and contact information.

The system is integrated into the Green-e website and displays different information and links to different user groups -- staff, public and account holder -- so privileged information is visible only to the appropriate users.
